Disable Desktop Icon Mouseovers and File Mouseover descriptions:

You can disable those annoying mouseover decriptions that keep popping up in Windows XP.

Open My Computer or any folder.
Choose Tools > Folder Options > View.
Scroll to the bottom of the list and uncheck the box that says:
"Show popup description for folder and desktop items."
