Simple Steps to Request Remote Assistance in Windows XP

1) Go to Start > All Programs and click on "Help and Support".
Under "Ask for Assistance" choose "Invite a friend..."

2) Once Remote assistance opens choose "Invite someone to help you"

3) Type an email address into the box where it says "Type an email address"
and then hit "Invite this person"

4) Type your name and a message if you choose and then hit continue.

5) Specify the duration of the invitation. Choose a long duration if you're not sure
when you can meet with your helper.
Choose a password which you will have to remember, and then hit "Send Invitation."

6) Hit the "Send" button to send the invitation.

Additional Information:
Your helper will get the invite that you sent in EMail.
If you're using web based email then choose "Save invitation as a file (advanced)"
and then attach the file to an email and send it to your helper.

You'll need to arrange a specific time to have your remote session so you might want to type something in the message box before sending like "How about 3:00pm tomorrow afternoon?"
or "Call me as soon as you get this."

You will have to remember the password that you used, and also make sure that your helper
has that password.
